Zipline canopy adventures are super fast and super fun!
Before you begin zipping above the trees you'll need to sit through a quick safety class so you understand how the system works. Some zip lines offer breaks built in stopping you safely and easily. However, if you prefer to control your deceleration, some zip lines provide a simple brake system that you apply. If you prefer one over another, be sure to check with the adventure park before visiting. The platforms are way up in the trees but zip line riders are continuously clipped onto safety lines by guides/instructors. Guides tend to be entertaining and incredibly helpful, providing advice and information on every platform, eliminating any fears or apprehension. While everything is safe, it doesn’t take away the thrills!
Hawksnest has 20 ziplines including four mega zips, two over 2,000 feet long and two over 1,500 feet long. Four miles of zipline riding with heights over 200 feet, speeds up to 50 mph, above trees, through trees, over lakes and creeks with panoramic views.

Family Adventure Park at Massanutten Four Season Resort is located approximately ten miles from I-81. The zip line tours are 1.5-2 hours long and include a cargo net, four 4 zip lines and a 50 ft. repel. The park also has a dual Mega Zip Line.

Fatbird Superflyer at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort is a 1,060 ft. zip line that reaches speeds of 60 mph at a 300 ft. elevation. They also have a 120 ft. zip line that is part of the Little Tykes Ropes Course for children ages 4 - 8.
