1/18th Scale Model Garages for Model Cars

09 September, 2011

We visited the 2011 Fall Rod Run in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, over the weekend, and one of the most interesting things we saw was Mike Goodman's booth with his amazing garages and gas stations for displaying 1/18th scale die cast model cars. Here's a garage with a "before and after" 57 Chevy restoration...

He also had this rusty 1940 1/18th scale model Ford in an old barn...

Here's a 1/18th scale model '32 Ford ('lil deuce coupe) sitting at some old gas pumps just like in the American Graffiti movie...

Mike Goodman hand-crafts each garage with high quality cedar, stains the exterior, and uses fluorescent lights to enhance the incredible detail. My photos don't do them justice, so take a look at his website if you have some die cast cars, trucks or motorcycles you'd like to display in a unique way. Mike's website also has a gallery with lots of pictures of his work.
